Small Beginnings
“Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all.” - Nelson Mandela
For one particular community in Haiti, it is our goal to start with water first, and then, Lord willing, the rest will follow. The youth of Grace Baptist Church led the charge with the very first fundraising effort for next year’s mission trip to Haiti where one of our main goals will be to dig a well in Merger, a community southwest of Port-au-Prince.
The talent show, cheekily named ‘Ignite’s Got Talent’, was organized and performed by the youth and raised $177 towards the well project. The aim is to raise $7, 550 USD for a 6” well with a dual system (hand/electric pump) that will be dug during the 13-day trip to Haiti.
We serve a great God from whom we can expect great things. We have been given a wonderful opportunity to help a community in Haiti with clean, abundant water and we invite you to come alongside Inspired2change and see what God is going to do.
The details for the rest of the trip and the cost per person are still being determined. We will keep you posted!
